32-year-old Frederick Johnson was arrested this morning, having been identified as the gunman in last night’s shooting outside the Fandango Bar & Grill which killed the mayor’s press secretary, Peter Wickham.

     Johnson confessed to selling cocaine to Wickham and claims the gun went off during a struggle between the two after an argument about money, accidentally killing Wickham. The gun was found in the trash outside Johnson’s apartment. Co-workers at the mayor’s office could not confirm Wickham’s drug use, though they had noticed a recent change in his behavior.
